Frequently asked questions
What is Potauchef?
Potauchef publishes recipes from Instagram food creators as pages to cook from: the creator’s video, an ingredient checklist and written steps, in six languages.
Where do the recipes come from?
Each recipe comes from an Instagram creator’s Reel. We write the page in our own words, based on their video and instructions. The creator is credited and the page links to their original Reel.
Do creators agree?
Potauchef only publishes a recipe in partnership with its creator. They review their page before publication and can ask for a correction or a removal.
Why are the videos silent?
Music added on Instagram is licensed for Instagram only. So we remove the sound from every video. The “Watch with sound on Instagram” button opens the original Reel.
What if some information is missing?
Information missing from the Reel stays flagged on the page, for example “To be confirmed”. We ask the creator rather than invent it.
Is Potauchef free?
Yes. Recipe pages are free to read, with no account. Partnership is free for creators. Any sponsored content will always be labelled and kept apart from the results.
How do I submit my recipes?
Fill in the partner form. We get back to you to choose the recipes and prepare your first page together.
